What Are Medium Depth Peels?
Medium Depth Peels penetrate deeper into the upper dermis, making them ideal for addressing more advanced skin concerns such as sun damage, fine lines, and wrinkles.
At our clinic, this is the deepest type of peel we offer, ensuring effective treatment while maintaining safety and comfort.
The peel we use not only contains a powerful blend of acids but also includes glutathione, a potent antioxidant that neutralises free radical damage from UV exposure and environmental toxins. It also helps inhibit melanin production, making it excellent for treating pigmentation issues.

Treatment Process:
Since medium-depth peels penetrate deeper into the skin, expect a little more downtime due to visible peeling, although the overall recovery time isn’t long. If you’re self-conscious about peeling, you may prefer to stay out of sight for a few days, but many clients, like myself, simply embrace it and carry on with their day.
Most peeling will occur on Day 3 and Day 4, when the skin will begin to shed in "sheets," revealing tight, bright skin underneath. It’s tempting to peel it off, but it’s important to follow strict aftercare instructions for the best results.
Aftercare includes using retinol wipes for 2 nights and a specialised moisturiser, and it’s recommended to avoid wearing makeup until the peeling process is complete.
What to Expect During the Week:
- Day 1: The peel is applied and stays on overnight. Your skin may appear flushed, and the peel gives a temporary tanned appearance.
- Day 2: You can rinse off the peel with plain water. Skin will look flushed and pink.
- Day 3: Peeling begins, typically around the mouth, gradually spreading outwards.
- Day 4: Peeling continues, and your skin remains sensitive.
- Day 5: New skin starts to appear, showing the first signs of improvement.
- Day 6: Peeling is complete, though skin may still feel a bit dry.
- Day 7: The process ends, but the skin will continue to improve over the following weeks as the results fully develop.
