What Are Skin Peels?
Skin peels are advanced treatments that use a blend of exfoliating acids to remove the outer layers of dead skin, revealing a brighter, smoother, and more refined complexion underneath. The type and strength of acids used are customized based on your skin concerns and the desired depth of the peel.
Common Acids Used:
Salicylic, Lactic, Mandelic, Glycolic, Kojic, Azelaic, and TCA, among others.
Light Superficial Peels
These peels target the outermost layer of the skin (the epidermis) and are the mildest type, with minimal downtime. Despite being gentle, they offer much stronger and more noticeable results compared to standard treatments offered at the beautician level.
Results You Can Expect:
- Smoother, brighter, and plumper skin
- Reduced pore size
- Clearer skin, helping to resolve congestion and acne
- Softer fine lines and wrinkles
- Improvement in superficial pigmentation
Treatment Process:
The peel is applied for 10-12 minutes before being washed off. In some cases, a clear peel may be left on overnight. Aftercare is minimal—just avoid using active skincare products for about a week. Most clients feel comfortable returning to work the next day, and while makeup can be worn after 24 hours, we recommend minimizing product use to allow the skin to heal naturally.
What to Expect During the Week:
- Day 1: Slight sensitivity, no visible changes.
- Day 2: Skin may appear pink and feel dry.
- Day 3-4: Visible dryness, with small bumps possibly forming under the skin. Skin may feel slightly oilier.
- Day 5: Dryness starts to decrease, and skin texture begins to improve.
- Day 6: Continued improvement in skin texture and tone.
- Day 7: The peeling process ends, and the skin will continue to improve in the following days.
